70006E, 22 AWG PROFINET TYPE A CABLE, CAT5E TYPE
Product Description
70006E is optimized to meet the stringent requirements of PROFINET-compliant automation networks. "Type A" designation indicates it is intended for static (fixed) routing, offering excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) immunity and reliable data transmission performance in factory floor settings where it can be securely routed through cable trays, conduits, or within control panels.
Key Technical Specifications
Conductor Construction: 4 cores (2 pairs) of 22 AWG solid bare copper conductors. The solid design ensures the best electrical transmission stability for permanent, non-moving runs.
Shielding Architecture:
Beldfoil® Shield: Aluminum/polyester foil provides 100% coverage.
Braid Shield: Tinned copper braid (nominal 85% coverage) for superior low-frequency EMI protection and ground continuity.
Insulation: High-density Polyethylene (PE) insulation for consistent dielectric properties.
Outer Jacket: Durable, flame-retardant Green PVC jacket, which is standard for PROFINET identification and offers oil and sunlight resistance.
Electrical Performance: Designed to meet Category 5e (Cat 5e) standards for PROFINET, supporting 100 Mbps industrial Ethernet protocols.
Temperature Rating: Typically rated for industrial operating ranges (e.g., -40°C to +70°C).
Primary Applications
PROFINET Networks: Used for communication between PLCs, I/O devices, and drives in static industrial network segments.
Industrial Fast Ethernet: Reliable connectivity for 100BASE-TX systems in manufacturing, processing, and assembly lines.
Panel Wiring: Ideal for internal control cabinet cabling where flexibility is not the primary requirement, but shielding and signal integrity are critical.
Important Note: Type A vs. Type B/C
Type A (70006E): Specifically for static (fixed) applications. It is not designed to withstand continuous flexing or torsion.
Type B/C: If your application involves robotic arms, drag chains, or moving machinery, you would instead require a PROFINET Type B (flexing) or Type C (continuous flex) cable to prevent mechanical failure.
